Bob uses two sets. A 1950s Gretsch set for small jazz combos and lighter music, and a larger, deeper tuned 1960s set of Gretsch for big bands and rock - both with a wide assortment of Avedis Zildjian cymbals.

For larger venues he can supply his own mics (Shure, AKG, Sony, Schoeps, Audio-Technica, EV) and rack of audio equipment (UREI Parametric EQ, Mackie Mixer, Alesis Compressor, Alesis MidiVerb, BBE Sonic Maximizer) allowing one pre-mixed and pre-processed drum feed to the Main Sound System.
